Photographs taken at European 3000m Victory talks by " Mary Cullen", and Presentations to her at Lunchtime (1.00pm) in the Institute of Technology, Sligo and at 7.30pm in The Sligo County Buildings on Thursday, 26th March 2009, after she secured Bronze for Ireland, in the European Championship 3,000m in Turin.
A. In lecture Theatre A5 at The Institute of Technology, Sligo: where she was given the Freedom of the Institutes fine Running Track and Athletics Area, and was presented with a plaque and small present by the Institute's President, Professor Terri Scott.
Mary spoke eloquently and answered questions unstintingly from the audience for a long time afterwards, giving of her time generously to everyone, as she has always done; as exemplified by the video interview she gave to 4 ten year boys, for a humble Under 11 Community Games project. Maugherow Under 11 Sports ProjectMary also regulary attends North Sligo A.C. junior training sessions and prize-giving events.

Presentation of the Plaque of Certificate of Honour to Mary Cullen by the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Councillor Jude Devlins (an ex-student of the Institute of Technology, Sligo) and signing the of the visitors book.
This was an exceptional achievement for Mary Cullen herself and also for all her trainers and mentors,
and for her club, North Sligo Athletics Club, where it all began, and with whom she has always maintained contact.
